I practice Integrative Massage which means that I draw upon many modalities (techniques/styles) to help serve each client best, moment to moment. Here are a few of the modalities I use while working primarily from a Swedish Massage foundation: Trigger Point/Neuromuscular, Therapy Connective Tissue Therapy (slow, deep therapeutic massage), Awareness of Shiatsu/acupressure points, Reflexology, Kinesthetic Awareness through Movement Medical Massage Chakra Balancing, Wholeness Healing.

I arrived at massage therapy by taking the scenic route - it wasn't something I always knew I wanted to do. it was presented to me at a time when all I was sure of was that I wanted to help people who had survived hardships. Whether these difficult experiences manifested in physical, mental and/or emotional pain, I wanted to help ease these burdens by creating & holding a safe, nonjudgmental space where organic healing can occur. Massage Therapy gives me the vehicle to do just this. My passions are working with women who have been/are going through hard times, especially related to reproductive health, and working with All People through grief & loss, helping to connect with & feel at home in their bodies.

Our experiences are stored in our physical bodies ("our issues are in our tissues" is one of my favorite quotes) & can manifest as pain, soreness, loss of range of motion, etc. I am fascinated by where emotions & experiences meet the body because this is where bodywork can help affect profound & lasting change.
